STEPS TO UNLOCK HILINK HUAWEI E303 MODEM




 


REQUIREMENTS Make sure you have the following 3 files in your folder:

1. Mobile Partner - Dashboard Software

2. Universal MasterCode – To calculate the flash code that will be used as a password when running Hi link E303 Firmware update software (E303SUpdate_21.157.31.00.850. B757)

3. E303SUpdate_21.157.31.00.850.B 757

Steps to follow:

1. Plug your E303 Hilink modem into your laptop – it will be installed as a network device ready for use.

2. Open your browser and insert the following address:

http://192.168.1.1/html/switchProjectMode.html

This will enable the serial ports used by the Hilink E303 Modem. However After doing this, the network device will disappear and two unknown devices appear in the device manager.

3. Locate the file ewser2k.inf and open it in Notepad or Wordpad.
On English systems the file will be located at C:\Program Files\Mobile Partner\Driver\Driver\X86



Add the following lines:

%QcomDevice01% = QportInstall01, USB\VID_12d1&PID_1442&MI_00%Qc omDevice00% = QportInstall00, USB\VID_12d1&PID_1442&MI_01

so that Windows knows which driver to use for two unknown devices.


In the device manager update the drivers by:

Right-click on each unknown device in turn and tell Windows you will select the driver and point at the location where you found ewser2k.inf as above (i.e. . C:\Program Files\Mobile Partner\Driver\Driver\X86.



4. Double click the file Universal MasterCode, put the IMEI of the modem (it is read on box) and calculate the flash code. Copy it somewhere

5. Double click the file Hi link E303 Firmware update software (E303SUpdate_21.157.31.00.850. B757) – to update the Hilink E303 modem firmware. When it asks for a password put your FLASH CODE.
